Comptroller's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Antigua and Barbuda Customs & Excise Division, where you can access essential information, including our tariff, now available online for your convenience.
Our Division continues our transformative journey of reform and modernization to strengthened our ability to fulfill our mission to protect and secure our borders, collect revenue efficiently, and deliver high-quality service in accordance with legislation, while contributing to a strong and resilient economy.
Guided by our strategic vision, we focus on optimizing revenue collection through the effective use of technology and enhanced service delivery, strengthening border control through intelligence-led risk management across aviation and maritime operations, and advancing trade facilitation through the implementation of the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
The implementation of the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA World) has been a milestone that has revolutionized our operations, enabling advance manifest processing, improved risk management, and seamless online declaration submission. This has resulted in faster processing times, reduced reliance on paper-based systems, and improved revenue performance.
In parallel, we have reinforced our border security framework by enhancing intelligence-gathering capabilities, strengthening protocols, and investing in the continuous development of our officers. Through active participation in regional and international networks, we remain vigilant and well-equipped to safeguard our borders.
Our commitment to global standards is further demonstrated through our adherence to the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards, which promotes secure and efficient international trade. This aligns closely with our ongoing efforts to implement the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, ensuring greater transparency, predictability, and accessibility of information for all stakeholders.
Through this medium we hope to make key information readily available to better serve businesses, investors, and all participants in the international supply chain.
